I-95 Re-Opened In Brevard County After Fiery Crash

UPDATE: I-95 has re-opened.

COCOA, Florida — All but one of the southbound lanes of I-95 are still shut down due to a vehicle crash involving a semi truck near mile marker 204 just south of the State Road 528 (Beach Line) interchange.

Around 1:25 a.m. this morning, a semi-tractor trailer was traveling southbound on Interstate 95 in the outside lane. Meanwhile,  a semi -tractor trailer car carrier was parked on the southbound emergency lane due to a flat tire.   Also, a pickup truck traveling with the car carrier was parked in front of the car carrier on the southbound emergency lane.
The first semi traveled onto the emergency lane and struck the left side of the second semi. The impact threw debris towards the pickup and caught the pickup on fire.
The first semi then traveled onto the west shoulder and struck trees and shrubs and also caught on fire.

None of the people involved in the crash were injured.
