US 1 Re-Opened After Fatal Crash In Titusville


2nd UPDATE: Details on  Fatal Crash On US-1 In Brevard County 

UPDATE: FHP reports that US 1 has re-opened.

TITUSVILLE, Florida — The Florida Highway Patrol is reporting that the southbound lanes on US-1 in Titusville, Florida are closed due to a fatal crash that occurred just before 10 a.m. just south of the intersection of Columbia Boulevard.



Brevard County Fire Rescue reported that the overturned vehicles resulted in the entrapment of passengers who had to be extricated by fire rescue crews.  Two people were airlifted, one with life threatening injuries, the other with serious injuries.


Motorists should expect U.S.-1 to be closed for an extended period of time while FHP investigates the accident.
