MERRITT ISLAND, Florida – The Central Area of Brevard County Parks and Recreation will host the 2013 Merritt Island Holiday Parade, “A World of Wonder,” starting at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 7.
The parade will start at Merritt Island High School at Grove Boulevard and continue south on Courtenay Parkway (SR3) to East Merritt Avenue and end at Edgewood Jr./Sr. High School.
The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office will close Courtenay Parkway (SR3) from Grove Boulevard to Merritt Avenue and Merritt Avenue
east to Plumosa Avenue at 9:45 a.m. until approximately 12:30 p.m. Traffic will be rerouted to Tropical Trail, SR 520 and SR 528. Motorists wishing to drive through the area are cautioned to allow extra time.
