Sheriff Ivey, State Attorney Archer Say “It’s Time to be a Parent Again”

TITUSVILLE, Florida — Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey and Florida State Attorney Phil Archer will be hosting a seminar  titled “It’s Time to be a Parent Again” and would like to invite parents and guardians to attend this free event.
The seminar will take place on Saturday, November 23, 2013, from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., at New Life Christian Fellowship, which is located at 6755 South Washington Avenue in Titusville, Florida. The Sheriff’s Office will be providing free childcare for attendees during the event.
“This course provides awareness on the various ways to hold children accountable for their actions,” Ivey said.  “The world today is a different place for both parents and children from when we were growing up and the challenges our parents faced. This opportunity will provide you the information needed to guide your children to success while maintaining a safe environment for the family.”

This will be the first seminar of its kind in Brevard and is designed to empower parents to become the “Chief Law Enforcement Officer” in their children’s lives by giving them the tools and resources to assist in raising children in these difficult times.

“Parenting is a tough enough job for any of us. Any tools, information, or insight we can offer that helps the parents of our community feel more confident in their ability to keep their children safe and on the right track benefits us all,” said Phil Archer, State Attorney.
