ORANGE COUNTY, Florida — The Florida Highway Patrol reported that a fatal crash occurred on State Road 528 (the Beachline) near State Road 520 just before 3 a.m. this morning in east Orange County, Florida.
According to FHP reports, 23-year-old Bianca Escobedo of Kissimmee, Florida was driving a 2010 Nissan 4-door westbound on State Road 528. Meanwhile 38-year-old Jared Allison of Cocoa, Florida was driving a 1997 GMC pickup truck westbound on State Road 528 ahead of the Nissan.
As the Nissan approached the pickup truck, FHP troopers say that Escobedo failed to slow down. The front of the Nissan then struck the rear of the pickup truck. After the impact, the pickup truck left the roadway, sideswiped a tree, and overturned. The Nissan also left the roadway and its left side struck a tree.
Escobedo died as a result of the crash and was transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center. Allison suffered minor injuries and was also taken to ORMC.
