TITUSVILLE, Florida — Just after 6 p.m. on Friday, Titusville Police received a call of gunfire in the area of Pine Street and Grannis Avenue in Titusville, Florida. When responding officers arrived, they found a man in a yard in the 1200 block of Pine Street who appeared to have been shot. 20-year-old Sharrod Freeman of Titusville was pronounced dead at the scene.
Detectives are exploring several leads in the case. A motive has not yet been established, and suspects are not being identified at this time.
Police say that a male was brought to a local hospital with a non-life threatening gunshot wound around the same time; however a connection between the two has not been confirmed at this time.
Detectives believe that there could potentially be several eyewitnesses who have not yet come forward, and urge anyone with information about this crime to contact the Titusville Police Department, or Crimeline.
