West Melbourne Man Wins $1 Million Scratch-Off

WEST MELBOURNE, Florida — According to the Florida Lottery, James Malone, 58, of West Melbourne, Florida, claimed a $1 million prize in the 100X THE CASH Scratch-Off game at Florida Lottery headquarters in Tallahassee, Florida. Malone chose to receive his winnings in a one-time, lump-sum payment of $683,890.11.

Malone purchased his winning 100X THE CASH Scratch-Off ticket from Publix, located at 2261 West New Haven Avenue in West Melbourne.  The retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning ticket.

100X THE CASH, the Florida Lottery’s biggest Scratch-Off game this year, offers more than $460 million in cash prizes and the best odds of winning $1 million or more of any Lottery game currently available. Twenty-six top prizes of $1 million and three top prizes of $5 million remain to be won. The overall odds of winning are one in 2.86.
