Titusville Woman Involved In Orange County Pedestrian Crash

ORANGE COUNTY, Florida — The Florida Highway Patrol reported that two pedestrians are in critical condition after being struck near the intersection of State Road 436 and Century 21 Boulevard in east Orange County, Florida.

19-year-old Iesha Blake of Titusville, Florida, was driving a 1999 Ford 4-Door southbound on State Road 436 just after 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.  Meanwhile, a yet-to-be-identified adult Asian man along with an Asian girl approximately 8-10 years of age were attempting to cross SR 436 from the east to the west.  They had crossed the northbound lanes and were standing in the median.

FHP troopers say that the pedestrians then stepped into the direct path of the Ford.  The front of the Ford then struck both pedestrians.  Neither pedestrian had any identification.

The pedestrian man was transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center (ORMC) where he is listed in critical condition.  The pedestrian girl was transported to Arnold Palmer Children’s Hospital.

Blake did not suffer any injuries.

FHP says that the crash remains under investigation.
