Full Moon on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2014

COCOA BEACH, Florida — There will be a Full Moon on St. Valentine’s Day beginning with a moonrise at 6:11 p.m. Eastern Standard Time on Friday, February 14, 2014.

The total Full Moon on Valentine’s Day technically occurs 42 minutes later at 6:53 p.m.  which should make for a spectacular moonrise over the Atlantic Ocean because the 2014 Valentine’s Day weather forecast calls for clear skies with a high in the mid-60’s and a low in the low-50’s and southwesterly winds of 5 to 10 miles per hour.

For those planning a stroll along the beach to watch the Full Moon, or to take advantage of some great surf fishing, the Full Moon brings along with it a 3’2″ high tide that will occur at 7:26 p.m.
