When is Presidents’ Day in 2014?

Presidents’ Day is observed on the third Monday in February.  For 2014, Presidents’ Day falls on February 17, 2014.   Presidents’ Day originally came from the federal holiday for George Washington’s Birthday.  But after the observance was changed to the third Monday in February, the holiday has become to be known as “Presidents’ Day” to celebrate both Abraham Lincoln’s birthday and Washington’s birthday.  However, the holiday has never officially had its name changed to Presidents’ Day, so Washington’s Birthday is the correct official name for the holiday.
