Florida Lottery: Mega Money Ends July1

TALLAHASSEE, Florida — The Florida Lottery announced that it will be ending MEGA MONEY ticket sales on Tuesday, July 1, 2014, at 10:40 p.m. ET, with the final drawing being held that evening at 11:15 p.m.

Beginning Wednesday, July 2, players may begin purchasing tickets for the new terminal game LUCKY MONEY. Lottery officials say that LUCKY MONEY gives players the best of both worlds because it offers the same jackpot prize structure that rolls over and rolls down, and includes an increased second prize and better overall odds that will create more winners. Also, LUCKY MONEY offers the $1 add-on feature EZmatch which gives players the chance to win up to $500 instantly.

If there is not a jackpot winner in the final MEGA MONEY drawing, the jackpot will roll and be carried over to the LUCKY MONEY jackpot for the first drawing, which will be held on Friday, July 4, 2014.
