TITUSVILLE, Florida — The Florida Highway Patrol reported that a Titusville teen has died from injuries he sustained in a vehicle crash that occurred just after 10:30 a.m. today on I-95 near mile marker 210.
42-year-old Amanda Blackshaw was driving a 2004 Chevy Impala southbound on I-95 in the center lane. Meanwhile, 42-year-old John Jenkins was driving a 2002 Toyota SUV southbound on I-95 in the right lane.
According to FHP, the Impala traveled into the right lane and right side of the Impala struck the left side of the Toyota for an unknown reason. The Toyota left the roadway after impact and came to a rest on the shoulder.
The right side of the Impala then struck the left rear of a disabled 2005 Ford pickup that was parked on the right shoulder of southbound I-95.
A 13-year-old boy, who was a passenger in the Impala, died following the accident. Blackshaw was transported to Parrish Medical Center due to serious injuries. Jenkins received minor injuries.
All crash victims were from Titusville and wearing their seat belts.
The crash remains under investigation.
