WEST MELBOURNE, Florida — The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office is conducting a death investigation on Sapphire Street in the unincorporated area near West Melbourne, Florida.
Earlier today, while attempting to locate a wanted person inside the residence, Deputies discovered two deceased individuals. The decedents have been identified as 42-year-old Michael Barker and 26-year-old Kayla Hemby.
Autopsies for Barker and Hemby are scheduled to take place tomorrow. According to BCSO, the initial investigative findings do not support any other individual being involved. However, the investigation is ongoing.
