Matthew Sconyers Killed In Orange County Crash
ORLANDO, Florida — The Florida Highway Patrol is reporting that a bicyclist was struck and killed at approximately 9:20 p.m. Wednesday night on State Road 50 (Colonial Drive) near the intersection of Melanie Drive just east of Orlando, Florida.
According to FHP reports, 34-year-old Matthew Sconyers of Port St. John, Florida was riding a bicycle while attempting to cross State Road 50 from the north to the south side of the road when he pulled into the direct path of a 1995 Ford Mustang traveling eastbound on State Road 50.
The front of the Mustang, driven by 31-year-old Sekula Jovanovic of Winter Springs, Florida, then struck the bicycle and Sconyers was ejected.
The crash remains under investigation.
