MELBOURNE, Florida — A house fire that blazed overnight has left one person dead in Melbourne, Florida.
At approximately 10:19 p.m. on Sunday, Melbourne Police Department patrol officers and Melbourne Fire Department crews responded to the 1900 block of Sarno Road after receiving reports of a house fire.
When fire rescue crews made entry into the home, they discovered a deceased person. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. The name of the deceased person is being withheld pending next-of-kin notification.
