TITUSVILLE, Florida – Danny Gokey, a top 3 finalist on Season Eight of American Idol, will perform at a concert during the Celebration of Hope fundraising event in Titusville, Florida on Friday, September 11, 2015.
The two-day event is hosted by Hannah’s Heroes – a non-profit 501(c)3 grassroots organization that was formed with a mission to draw attention to the struggles youths face in the North Brevard community.
On January 16, 2015, a Titusville middle school student ended her own life. Hannah Cline was a beautiful, talented, and seemingly well-balanced child. Although loved by so many, Hannah was able to hide her deep feelings of pain and depression. She has left behind a devastated community and heartbroken family and friends.
Initiated in February 2015 by Lyn Cline, Hannah’s Mom, and Liz Mikitarian, a long-time area educator, Hannah’s Heroes has accomplished much in its short existence, including the creation of a board of directors and a student advisory group as well as online research and town hall meetings on the topic of Bullying.
This important fundraising event includes a concert on September 11 and a community get together on September 12 at the YMCA which will include food, entertainment, vendors, guest speakers and a Hannah’s Heroes confidence (obstacle) course.
