Blackburn stated in a press release. “It is a significant achievement when comparing our scores against only college bound students from across the state.”
BPS assessed 5,025 students in 2015. While the composite score for BPS dipped from 20.8 in 2014 to 20.7 in 2015, it remained consistently within a .3 spread since 2011. BPS students increased performance in science by .3.
“This data demonstrates the significant dedication of our staff with consistent achievement for our students,” Blackburn adds. “We will work closely with instructional staff to evaluate the data and develop strategies to address the drop in our reading, mathematics and English scores.”
