This year’s parade is hosted by Mindy from “Mike & Mindy in the Morning” on Lite Rock 99.3, an iHeartMedia station.
The Merritt Island Holiday Parade will start from Grove Boulevard at Merritt Island High School south on Courtenay Parkway (SR3) to Edgewood Jr./Sr. High School on East Merritt Avenue.
The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office will close Courtenay Parkway (SR3) from Grove Boulevard to Merritt Avenue, and Merritt Avenue east to Plumosa Avenue, at 9:30 a.m. until about 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 5, for the Merritt Island Holiday Parade.
The traffic will be re-routed to Tropical Trail, SR 520 and SR 528. Motorists wishing to drive through the area are cautioned to allow extra time.
