MELBOURNE, Florida – Two armed assailants confronted four residents inside an apartment at 32 Circle Avenue in Melbourne, Florida early Monday morning.
According to the Melbourne Police Department, the gunmen demanded anything of value from the residents. When one of the residents failed to cooperate, one of the gunmen fired a single shot – striking the victim in the abdomen. The gunmen then fled the area in an unknown vehicle, dropping a box that contained counterfeit narcotics and paraphernalia. The gunshot victim was transported to Holmes Regional Medical Center where he underwent surgery. The victim is in stable condition and is expected to recover.
