Florida Woman Crashes Into Daytona International Speedway Infield


DAYTONA BEACH, Florida – A Florida woman allegedly crashed into four people and five vehicles at the Daytona International Speedway on Saturday.


According to Daytona Beach police, 43-year-old Abbie Kinney of Cocoa Beach, Florida crashed her black Toyota pickup into four people and five vehicles at a camping area on  Lake Lloyd Road inside the infield of the racetrack around 2 a.m. on Saturday morning.


Kinney told police that she shouldn’t have been driving because she had been drinking three beers, according to the arrest report.

Following her arrest, Kinney took two breathalyzer tests. The first test recorded a breath-alcohol level .179 and the second test recorded a level of .170 – over twice the legal limit for breath-alcohol in Florida which is .08.

Kinney was booked into the Volusia County jail and charged with DUI (1st offense), four counts of DUI with injuries, and five counts of DUI with property damage.

According to court records, Kinney was released from jail on Saturday afternoon on a $5,000 bond.
