UPDATE: As of 11 p.m., northbound lanes on I-95 are re-opened.
TITUSVILLE, Florida — The Florida Highway Patrol is reporting that the northbound lanes of I-95 are shut down near mile marker 220 due to a fatal crash that occurred around 6 p.m. on Memorial Day.
According to Brevard County Fire Rescue, the crash involves up to 11 patients, 6 trauma alerts, and multiple fatalities.
Several emergency vehicles have responded to the scene. As a result, I-95 north at Exit 215 (State Road 50) is closed at the on-ramp.
Northbound traffic is being diverted off of I-95 onto State Road 50 in Titusville, Florida.
As a detour, exit onto MM 215 (SR-50) and turn right on SR-50, then left on State Road 405, then left onto Singleton Avenue, then left onto SR-406 back to I-95 NB.
