MELBOURNE, Florida – Goodwill Industries of Central Florida recently relocated its North Melbourne retail store to 4970 Wickham Road. The previous location at 1974 Wickham Road is now closed. The new store hired approximately 15 additional employees. MH Williams Construction Group, located in Melbourne, Fla. was the contractor.
“This newer, larger facility is designed to enhance the shopping experience and increase sales, which ultimately fund our programs for job-seekers,” said Bill Oakley, CEO of Goodwill Industries of Central Florida. “We’re grateful for the continued support of the North Melbourne community, and look forward to welcoming shoppers and donors to our new location.”
Revenue from the sales of donated goods in Goodwill’s retail stores supports the nonprofit’s job training and placement services, such as career counseling, résumé writing, interview coaching and computer training. These services are offered free of charge to people with disabilities, military veterans, those who are chronically unemployed, and others who face barriers to finding work.
