DONATIONS COLLECTED FOR BREVARD SHARING CENTERS
Brevard County was one of the areas that endured damage from Hurricane Irma, and Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex is working with Brevard Sharing Centers to ensure members of local community have adequate supplies while they rebuild.
Guests are encouraged, but not required, to bring in canned foods and other non-perishable items to donate to Brevard Sharing Centers during Salute to Brevard. It is the perfect time to clean out the pantry and help those in need in our community.
Consider donating any of the following:
Canned goods
Other non-perishable foods such as pasta, oatmeal or sauces
Baby formula and food
Hygiene products
In addition to food donations, the Visitor Complex will collect used plastic grocery bags. The bags will be “upcycled” into lightweight, waterproof mats for homeless veterans. Bring your bags free of holes or damage and they can be turned into plastic yarn, or “plarn.”
