2017 Merritt Island Christmas Parade December 2

MERRITT ISLAND, Florida – The Central Area of Brevard County Parks and Recreation will host the 2017 Merritt Island Holiday Parade, “Holiday By the Shore,” starting at 10 a.m. on Saturday, December 2, 2017.
The parade will start at Merritt Island High School at Grove Boulevard and continue south on Courtenay Parkway (State Road 3) to East Merritt Avenue and end at Edgewood Jr./Sr. High School.
The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office will close Courtenay Parkway (SR3) from Grove Boulevard to Merritt Avenue and Merritt Avenue east to Plumosa Avenue at 9:30 a.m. until approximately 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 2, for the Merritt Island Holiday Parade.
Traffic will be re-routed to Tropical Trail, State Road 520 and State Road 528. Motorists wishing to drive through the area are cautioned to allow extra time.
