CAPE CANAVERAL, Florida – A male suffered a gunshot wound during a shooting that occurred in Cape Canaveral, Florida around 8:35 p.m. on Wednesday, September 18, 2019.
Witnesses heard several shots fired in the 400 block of Adams Avenue.
Brevard County Sheriff’s deputies also heard the shots fired and responded to the scene within seconds.
Brevard County Fire Rescue crews transported the teenager to the nearby Cape Canaveral baseball field as a trauma alert.
The yet-to-be-identified male was airlifted by First Flight helicopter from the baseball field to the trauma center at Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne, Florida.
