US. Coast Guard Sets Condition X-RAY For Port Canaveral

PORT CANAVERAL, Florida – The U.S. Coast Guard Captain of the Port (COTP)  set port condition X-RAY for Port Canaveral terminals and facilities effective 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 13, 2019.

The port remains open to all commercial traffic.

Oceangoing vessels greater than 500 gross tons, including oceangoing tugs and barges greater than 500 gross tons, already in port or arriving during Hurricane Port Condition X-RAY shall continue with preparations and safely depart the port before the setting of Hurricane Port Condition ZULU (12 hours preceding the arrival of sustained gale force winds).

At this time, no significant impacts are expected in Port Canaveral due to Potential Tropical Cyclone Nine.

However, Port tenants, users, visitors, and guests are encouraged to continue to monitor weather forecasts for any updates or changes.

Jetty Park Campground and all recreational facilities remain open at Port Canaveral.

So far, there are no known changes to ship arrivals, departures, or itineraries for cruise vessels sailing to or from Port Canaveral, Florida.

However, the Canaveral Port Authority advises guests with questions regarding sailings or itineraries changes to contact their respective cruise line.
