2 Dead, 1 Critical In Osceola County Crash

OSCEOLA COUNTY, Florida – Two people died and one person is in critical condition following a crash that occurred just after 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 27, 2019, near the intersection of Old Melbourne Highway and U.S. 192 in Osceola County, Florida.

A 75-year-old St. Cloud, Florida woman was driving a 2018 Ford 4-door eastbound on U.S. 192.

Meanwhile, a male was driving a 2010 Ford van westbound on U.S. 192.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the St. Cloud woman attempted to make a left turn to travel north onto Old Melbourne Highway and turned into the direct path of the van.

The front of the van then struck the right side of the 4-door.

The St. Cloud woman and a 74-year-old St. Cloud man, who was a passenger in the Ford 4-door, were pronounced deceased at the scene and transported to the Osceola Medical Examiner’s Office.

The driver of the van was transported to Osceola Regional Medical Center in critical condition.

All of the occupants were wearing their seat belts at the time of the crash and alcohol was not a factor, according to FHP reports.

The crash remains under investigation.
