Saint Cloud Motorcyclists Die In Brevard County Crash

MIMS, Florida – Two people from Saint Cloud, Florida died as a result of injuries they sustained in a single-vehicle motorcycle crash that occurred on U.S 1 in unincorporated north Brevard County just before 5 p.m. on Sunday, November 24, 2019.

A 72-year-old man was riding a 2010 Hyosung trike motorcycle with a 59-year-old female passenger northbound on U.S. Highway 1 near the intersection with Mirkwood Street in Mims, Florida.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the man lost control of the motorcycle for an unknown reason.

The Hyosung then left the roadway and overturned. Both the driver and the passenger were ejected during the crash.

The passenger was declared deceased at the scene and transported to the Brevard County Medical Examiner’s Office.

The driver was transported to Parrish Medical Center in Titusville, Florida where he later died.

The passenger and driver were not wearing helmets at the time of the crash, according to FHP reports.

A toxicology report is pending.

The crash remains under investigation.
