1 Dead In Crash On U.S. 192

BREVARD COUNTY, Florida – One person died and two people were injured in a fiery crash that occurred around 8 p.m. on Thursday, December 26, 2019, on U.S. Highway 192 near the intersection of Radar Road in unincorporated Brevard County about halfway between Deer Park and West Melbourne, Florida.

48-year-old Bobby Rumbough of Melbourne, Florida was driving a 1997 Ford pickup truck westbound on US-192.

Meanwhile, 73-year-old Ronald King of Plains, Montana was driving a 2019 Buick Cascada eastbound on US-192.

For an unknown reason, Rumbough lost control of the Ford pickup truck and traveled into the eastbound lanes.

The front of the Ford then struck the front of the Buick head-on.

31-year-old Peterson Senerino of Dania Beach, Florida was also traveling eastbound in a 2018 Nissan Altima and began to stop to help the crash victims.

However, 32-year-old Alex Arroyo of Kissimmee, Florida, who was driving a 2015 Toyota Corolla behind the Nissan, was unable to stop in time and the Toyota struck both the Nissan and the Buick.

King was transported to Melbourne Regional Medical Center where he was later pronounced deceased.

Rumbough suffered serious injuries and was transported to Holmes Regional Medical Center as a trauma alert.

Senerino and Arroyo did not suffer any injuries.

All of the drivers were wearing their seat belts at the time of the crashes.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, King, Senerino and Arroyo were not under the influence of alcohol.

A toxicology report for Rumbough is pending.

The crash remains under investigation and charges are pending against Rumbough.
