Christmas Man, 22, Killed In Orange County Crash

CHRISTMAS, Florida – A 22-year-old man did not survive the injuries he sustained in a single-vehicle crash that occurred just after 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 16, 2020, in Christmas, Florida.

Christopher Thompson of Christmas, Florida was driving a 2005 Nissan northbound on Fort Christmas Road near Christmas Cemetary Road.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Thompson lost control of the Nissan for an unknown reason.

The Nissan then struck a mailbox and a fence before the left side of the vehicle hit a tree.

Thompson was later pronounced deceased at the scene and transported to the Orange County Medical Examiner’s Office.

The driver was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, according to FHP reports.

A toxicology report is pending and the crash remains under investigation.
