Below is a list of National Parks in Florida that have free admission on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Monday, January 20, 2020.
“To commemorate the Birthday of Martin Luther King, Jr. on Monday, January 20th, the @NatlParkService will host special events, including day of service opportunities, and FREE admission to all national parks,” the National Park Service tweeted.
On five days in 2020, all National Park Service sites that charge an entrance fee will offer free admission to everyone. Mark your calendar for these entrance fee–free dates in 2020:
January 20: Birthday of Martin Luther King, Jr.
April 18: First day of National Park Week
August 25: National Park Service Birthday
September 26: National Public Lands Day
November 11: Veterans Day

Martin Luther King, Jr. Day became a federal holiday in 1986 after President Ronald Reagan signed the holiday into law in 1983.
By 1991, all states also made MLK Day a state holiday.
Martin Luther King, Jr. Day is observed on the third Monday in January to celebrate Martin Luther King, Jr.’s birthday which occurs on January 15.
In 2020, the third Monday in January falls on January 20.
Martin Luther King, Jr. Day is also known by other names such as Civil Rights Day, King Day, King Day of Service, and MLK Day.
