CAPE CANAVERAL, Florida – The launch of a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket carrying a Eutelsat HOTBIRD 13G satellite is targeted to liftoff at 11:26 p.m. Eastern Standard Time on Wednesday, November 2, 2022, from Space Launch Complex 40 at the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida.

The launch window is open for 116 minutes.

Launch Weather 90% ‘GO’

According to the latest forecast from the U.S. Space Force 45th Weather Squadron, there is a 90% chance of favorable weather for launch. The primary weather concern for launch is cumulus clouds.

Attempted Landing On Drone Ship

Following stage separation, the first stage of the SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket will attempt a landing on the autonomous drone ship Just Read The Instructions in the Atlantic Ocean.

Eutelsat HOTBIRD 13G

The Eutelsat HOTBIRD 13G satellite will replace three of its aging satellites in its flagship HOTBIRD neighborhood.

The HOTBIRD family forms one of the largest broadcasting systems in Europe, delivering 1000 television channels to more than 135 TV homes in Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East.
