Brevard Shows Support for Family of Deputy Pill at Sonny's BBQ Fundraiser

Melbourne, Florida - There was a huge turnout of hungry Brevard County residents and officers at Sonny's BBQ in Viera as people came to show their support for Brevard County Sheriff's Deputy Barbara Pill and her family, and in return, receive some of Sonny's delicious Barbecue.

Local radio stations, police officers, and Brevard County community members all showed up to support the family of Brevard County Sheriff's Deputy Barbara Pill.  

Sonny's BBQ in Viera sponsored a fundraiser for the family of Brevard County Sheriff's Deputy Barbara Pill who was shot and killed on March 6, 2012. 

The fundraiser took place Monday evening, March 12, 2012 at Sonny's Barbeque in Viera from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm.  Sonny's BBQ offered a pork sandwich, beans, and a tea for $5.00, with 100% of the proceeds going towards the family of Brevard County Sheriff's Deputy Barbara Pill.  Brevard County residents were lined up through the Sonny's BBQ Parking lot and around the building. 

Brevard County Sheriff's Deputy Barbara Pill had pulled over a vehicle on March 6, 2012 in response to a robbery, when vehicle occupants Brandon Bradley and Andria Kerchner allegedly shot and killed Deputy Pill before driving off and leading B.C.S.O. and Melbourne Police on a car chase.
