Rick Scott Wins Florida Governor Race

TALLAHASEE, Florida -- Florida Governor Rick Scott was re-elected last night, beating former Governor Charlie Crist by 48% to 47%.

"It’s time to put all the division behind us, it’s time to come together," Scott said in a statement on his campaign website.

"Forget all the partisanship.  Florida is on a mission - and that mission is to keep growing, and to become the very best place in the world to raise a family, to get a good paying job, to make a career, and build a great life. We have made great strides in the past four years, but now is not the time to let up or rest on our laurels. Now is the time to charge boldly ahead."

    1. Despite the hatred of this Gov. by the left and the extra votes Crist was to get from the amendment 2 voters, Scott won anyway. I'm impressed.

    2. Tell me again why we should celebrate the former CEO of the company convicted of the SINGLE LARGEST MEDICARE fraud in the history of US gov fraud? Tell me again how mr "plead the 5th" is good for the state? Have you seen what he is doing to public schools? He needs a stupid future electorate to maintain his power. Way to go stooge, we now get the government you deserve.

    3. I cannot "tell you again why we should celebrate", because my comment above did not say that in the first place. All I said was I was impressed because of the opposition Scott faced and after all, polls were not looking good for him. You have called me a stooge, stupid, and you say I'll get what I deserve. I did not even say who I voted for. Maybe your description of me fits yourself more precisely, but I am not one to assume anything about an anonymous person.

  2. Why would anyone want to raise a family in a state that does not value education?
