Bullet Proof Backpacks For School Kids?

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah -- Online retailer offers the ultimate in self-protection for school kids from random mass shootings without violating school dress codes with its body armor product called the "Ballistic Backpack."

The retailer explains the comforting feeling parents will have by sending their children to school with the Ballistic Bacpack:

"Sewn into the rear of the pack, you can always be confident that the armor hasn’t been accidentally left at home and that you or your child are protected in case of the unthinkable. The backpack can be quickly brought to the front as a shield or can serve as center of mass protection while fleeing the scene of the shooting."

In addition to body armor for children, the backpack features a  water bottle holder and a "convenient headphone exit port" (undoubtedly so the kids can listen to their favorite iTunes as a hail of bullets rain around them).

The backpack sells for $300.
